Tom’s Cool Cars

If It Isn’t Cool I Don’t Sell It!

The Starting Line To Your Cool Car

Hi. I’m Tom Klein. Welcome to my Go Daddy Website. I urge all automotive and racing enthusiasts to patronize Go Daddy, a sponsor of major motorsports competitors including Danica Patrick and Dale Earnhardt Jr.

Trivia question: Can you name this trophy I had the privilege of being photographed with?

A leading edge Baby Boomer born in 1946 I have been both witness to, and participant in,  the wonderful world of automotive evolution during the past 60 years. From post war Hot Rods of the '50's and '60's to the 1950's Detroit Classics, to the Muscle Car Era and the invasion of European Classic Sports Cars and Exotics, I have been fortunate to have experienced and lived it all.

I've been car crazy since I can remember.  Motorcycles, aircraft and boats too. If it had an internal combustion engine, went fast and especially if it was raced, it had my attention from about age five. By nine I was voraciously reading everything I could find on racing and high performance cars and cherished my Hot Rod Magazine subscription. I learned to drive in a corn field at age twelve and before long me and my likewise inclined buddies were racing junkers around the perimiter of that same field. We had our very own dirt track. By my mid teens in the 1960’s we were building and drag racing hot rods. The most lethal being a Hemi powered NHRA Classed B/Altered 1933 Plymouth 5 Window Coupe. It wasn't pretty but it was cool, it was wickedly fast, and fortunately I survived to this day with great stories to tell!

I later became a licensed pilot. Planes, cars and boats were all a part of my professional career as a Florida State Licensed Yacht Broker. For 20 years aircraft were an indispensible tool as were the cool cars used to shuttle clients to and from showings. Being technically inclined I was one of the first to  market yachts world wide via the Internet from the mid 1980's and enjoyed working with clients in over 20 countries, many who became and have remained good friends. Today I continue that tradition with collectible automobiles.

Upon retiring from yacht sales in 2000 my wife, Heather, and I, retreated from south Florida to the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina. Heather now enjoys life as a small town attorney while I pursue my life long passion for performance and collector cars, having added a NC dealers license to my resume'. I'm into Classics, all generation Corvettes, Hot Rods, Muscle Cars,  European Performance Cars and anything else that's cool.
Tom’s Cool Cars
is all about having fun and sharing the passion with other enthusiasts.

The cars to the left are representative of my collection and what I offer for sale.  The 1987  Porsche Carrera in Guards Red and the hot rodded 1934 Dodge Pickup are about as different from one another as it gets but both are great fun. Hot Rods, Corvettes & Porsches are my favorites and I try to keep one of each around at all times.

The beautiful frame off restored 1957 Nomad won Best of Show at the prestigous Nomad Nationals scoring 997 points, just 3 points shy of perfection. I was pleased to pass it on to a gent who has one of the most prestigious collections of rare Chevrolets in the country.  The pristine One Owner  30,072 Mile 1980 Chevrolet Corvette,  was notably owned and "flown" by a Lockheed Skunk Works U-2 and XR71 Blackbird Pilot. Up top is a beautiful show quality '32 Ford 3 Window Coupe, and last but not least, the "Arrest Me Red" 1991 V-12 Powered BMW 850i, a very rare (one of only 4,700 ever sold in the U.S.) and amazing automobile. All have moved on to new owners.

As for the Classic Swan Hood Ornament, can you name the manufacturer it is associated with? They just don't make them like they used to which is why Classics Are Cool!
